Editha Joseph
Editha was born on 30th Sept 1993. She is in the seventh grade class of Rhotia Primary school in Rhotia, Tanzania .
Her fathers name is Joseph, and her mothers name is Josephine. She has seven sisters whose names are Christina 29 years old, Olimpia 20 years old, Susana 18 years old, Lucy 13 years old, Rosemary 11 years old, Maria 7 years old, Clara 3 years old. She has three brothers, Christopher 26 years old, Christian 21 years old, Thadeus 4 years old.
She lives with her parents brothers and sisters in a home about 3.5 km from Rhotia Primary School, her sister Christiane is married. Her father died last year 2007 in September of Head Cancer.
The family earns its income from farming. They have about 3 hectares (about 7.5 acres) to raise their food. They don’t have any to sell they grow maize, beans, and peageon nuts. Sometime they must get help from relatives, neighbors, sometimes from the Government. The parents are not able to pay the students expenses in Primary School and Secondary School.
Editha is struggling in school. Her best subjects are English, Swahili, science, social studies. She doesn’t do well in Mathematics. For fun she likes playing netball. When she finishes the primary education at the end of 2008-2009, she would like to go to Secondary School. After that, if she does well, she will enter higher education. After that she would like to be a doctor.
Editha would like to do computer training class because she wants to learn about other countries and other people and many other things because she is interested in American and Americans.
Editha has started computer training in the Project Rhotia computer lab.
